| SUE SAYS | Three
years strong and now a new location in the Big Lots Center, you can buy
direct from this mattress factory who has paid attention to
sleep-deprived shoppers who fall into bed each night, often as a last
resort. But hardly sleeping in a mattress worthy of a resort. Move over
all of you jolly green giants who spend millions of dollars on branding
your name via full page ads and an ad campaign that allows you to put a
storefront on every corner. The only problem with the convenience of a
store in every neighborhood is that you will be paying for that
namebrand recognition and that convenience. Drive a little instead and
save a lot! Furthermore, stop being abused by high-pressure salesmen
and no-information clerks who don't know the difference between latex
and air. And where do they get their sales training...from a Cracker
Jack box? I was going to say used car salesmen, but I know some of the
trainers who have been diligently training car salesmen around the
country into being real gentlemen and women as well as being
knowledgeable about their product, so I better not. But back to my
back. At Sleep Craft, Todd and Nicole Lavell have a different approach.
They are down-to-earth, family-friendly with no games played. They sell
wholesale to the public and don't play with marking mattresses up to
then discount, no half price sales with inflated retail prices, no
mixed-matched sets on sale, no one price for any size...any red-blooded
Underground Shopper know how I feel about those kind of mixed messages.
PLUS 'tis better to lay down on the job and actually test out the
mattresses, and then they can't pull the covers over your eyes. Tell it
like it is and don't mince words. At Sleep Craft, they focus on the
important details of the construction of the mattress and even though
the name Sleep Craft may be unfamiliar, the quality of their
construction usually exceeds industry standards and that's what you
should care about. They even show a cross-section of what lies beneath
their mattresses as opposed to others who may put fancy fabric over
shoddy workmanship. Don't expect a high pressure environment. They
don't sell that way and you can buy a twin set for as low as $119 all
the way to king-size for $269. This second generation mattress
manufacturing couple were literally born into the business. Nicole's
family has been manufacturing since the early 70s when her father's
business was called Mattress Warehouse. Today, they make over 25
different kinds of mattresses and ship worldwide. Their prices include
the mattress, box spring, metal frame, local delivery and set-up
(usually on the same day that you purchased the bed) plus removal of
your old mattress.
